Pano is an amazing app for creating on-the-spot panoramic photos straight from your iPhone! Developed by Debacle Software, Pano does a very simple thing in principle, create panoramas, but the results are incredible given that this is something created by a 2 MP iPhone camera and a $2.99 iPhone app.
Pano relies on the iPhone’s camera to take the images that will make up the completed panoramic shot. (In other words, this app unfortunately won’t work with the iPod Touch).Pano’s interface is simple and very effective. When you launch Pano, the app prompts you to start taking a series of pictures. Tapping Cancel lets you switch between portrait and landscape orientation, quit, or resume your snapshots.
After each shot, you can discard and retake it, or save and proceed to the next in the series. A semi-transparent portion of the edge of the previous shot allows you to line up the next until you think you are finished (you can take a maximum of sixteen shots). After your final shot, Pano stitches the images together into one photo and then saves it to your iPhone’s photo album.
I was amazed with the results. Even after blowing up the image in iPhoto, I had a hard time seeing where the edges of each individual image blended together. In my test image, I even had moving subjects in the background—these were only marred by a slight blur around their edges in Pano’s finished product.
The only problem I have with Pano is that it takes to long to stitch up the photos. Luckily in the 3.0 update you can resume back to the processing screen just in case you have to take a phone call, etc.
I never had much interest in creating panoramic photos due to the time it took to work with the photos and adjust for misalignments with my camera. Pano makes the process fun. I just wish my real camera had this amazing ability.
Debacle Software is running a photo contest right now for panoramas made with Pano! check it out at www.ilovepano.com . They got some pretty sweet prizes for the winning photos.

Nice! That apps seems like it can create some really cool pictures, awesome review.
I think that it's really cool to make panoramic pictures, but usually the software is always so expensive. This is so perfect!
Very nice review! looks like a cool application.
Thanks for the review. I'm going to have to check this out…
Looks like a great app, i love to see developers push the limits. Thanks for the review!

Great app. Been using it for a while. The latest version kicks butt
great review And App
I personally like autostitch better. It allows you to take pictures in any order horizontally and/or vertically with the regular camera (or any other iphone camera app) and then have them all stitched together automatically. It seems to do a really good job too.
You could take a rectangular group of pictures like below in the order given and just point autostitch to them and as long as you have about 20 – 30% overlap in the pictures it does an amazing job automatically figuring out how to stitch them together.
