Are you trying to find a great portable speaker for your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPod Classic? Then you should look into Livespeakrs. It may be a bit expensive, but it is a great quality ultra portable speaker for traveling, and it is great for parties. In the top of the speaker, there is a mini-usb and a power on/off switch with a light to indicate if the speaker is on or not. The bottom just has the LiveSpeakr logo. The mini-usb port located in the top is used to connect the speaker to an AC charger, or to the computer. When you plug the speaker to a usb, it automatically charges. And yes, you can still listen to music while plugging it into a power source.
The Livespeakr has an unbelievable unique design to it. Since it’s an ultra portable speaker, you can fit in any pocket for your backpack. There is a cradle to put your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPod Classic. This cradle can also protect your iPod/iPhone, so it does feel safe when your iPod/iPhone is attached to your speaker. The cradle is amazing. It can rotate to landscape to portrait, or vice-versa. So if you want to view a movie or want to view cover-flow, you can just rotate the cradle. When you first get it, the speakers are already in landscape mode, but if you want the speaker to become bigger, just rotate the cradle 2 times. This triggers the two speakers on the side, to expand. That is probably the beauty of portability and design of this speaker.
If you have an iPod Touch, you’ll notice that where you plug-in the jack, is in a different place, so it is impossible to plug into the speaker. All you need to do is to take off the cradle. You just hold and slide the cradle and pull it off holding the base of the speaker. When you take off the cradle, you can move the jack to the other side for iPod Touch users.
With this portable design, it also has a stand for your convenience. The stand is very sturdy and I have no worries about the speaker falling. To take out the stand, all you need to do is push down the backside of the speaker, which comes out. The stand is great because you can adjust the angle for your own comfort. You can just pull out the stand to your own desirable angle. In the bottom of the stand, it has a rubbery material, so it grips onto a surface. Of course, if you apply force to it, it may movie, but it does not move very much. This is also why I believe the design is insanely great and makes the portability a lot more convenient.
Now for sound quality. For this small size, it’s unbelievable how the speakers sound. The speakers have fantastic audio quality. It does lack a bit of bass in the sound, but it has a superb sound quality compared to other portable speakers. It is also extremely loud if you put it to the highest volume on you iPhone or iPod. In fact, it the sound is so big, you can probably use it for parties. So if you are looking for a great quality portable speaker, this meets the criteria.
Many portable speakers would use AA batteries, but look no further! These speakers don’t need them. A unique thing about this speaker, is that it contains a rechargeable Li-Ion Battery. The Li-Ion Batteries last very long, and probably longer than you would expect. With these long lasting batteries, these will be perfect for traveling. Especially, if you are a truck driver, these are probably perfect for you. If you own an iPhone, whenever a phone call comes, you can use it as a speakerphone, so it’s even more convenient to use.
Overall, this product is really worth the money. The sound quality is great, its extremely portable, and it has a long-lasting rechargeable battery. If you ever need a portable speaker for traveling, or even using it in your car, Livespeakr has it for you.
Pros: Extremely portable. The sound can get very loud and is great for partying. Overall sound quality and experience is fantastic.
Cons: Could be a bit pricey. Isn’t compatible with some iPods.
