I have finally found a golf game that has great gameplay as well as beautiful 3-D graphics, Lets Golf!
When I first played the game it instantly reminded me of the golf game in Wii Sports, the music was very similar.
The game begins with a very nice intro showing a couple of golfers hitting the golf ball one-by-one as it soars in to different golf courses.
Once you get to the main-menu, there you will be asked to enter a name which will be used with your golfer.
After that you move on to the main menu where you are presented with several different options:

Instant Play: Select your character and go straight to a golf-course to play a 1-hole game, good if you just want to play a quick round.

Multiplayer: Play either by passing your iPhone/iPod around or Wi-Fi play.
Tournament: Here you choose from 4 different islands (only 2 are available at first) and play against several other CPU opponents.

Free Hole: Here you can play a custom game by choosing the amount of holes and difficulty all 4 islands are available for play.

The first time you play any mode you will be asked if you want to play a tutorial which describes the controls quite well.

The controls are quite easy to grasp and with some practice you can become a pro in no time.
Once you’re in a course, a mini-map will be present on the top-right corner that will show you a second view of the map.
On the top-left corner are the amount of holes in the game, your name, how many shots you’ve hit etc.
On the bottom-left are your selection of golf-clubs which you can browse through by either flicking your finger up or down on the club icon.
Now to hit the ball on the lower-right corner there is a glowing circle, once you tap it the shot meter with will begin with a small indicator to show how much power you’re putting in;
re-tap once you think you have selected a sufficient amount of power then the indicator will move downwards where you will have to try to tap it while it’s in the small green-zone
that represents accuracy. Sounds are played if you hit it well to motivate to play further.

While the golf ball is in the air you can change the direction it’s flowing in by turning the golf ball icon on the screen.
One again the music is great and fast-paced keeping you motivated throughout the game.
When your close to the hole a small shot meter will appear once you tap the glowing circle, this only has power, no accuracy is required and the optimum power required to land it in the hole is listed. If you tap exactly on the indicator you’ll land the ball straight in the hole.

The conclusion: Lets Golf! is an excellent golf game for the iPhone for pros and newbies, the controls are great and so are the graphics.
There are 4 distinct playable islands each beautifully rendered. In my opinion the game is well worth the price and this isn’t a game you want to miss out on.

Wow, they had this game on the iPhone/iPod Touch? Looks great! I wouldn't really buy it, but I'd have considered it.
(Now, if this were Pangya, the fantasy 3D Golf game, that's a whole new story and I'd pay for THAT game, provided that it's not buggy… but nah, that's not going to happen. The developers are too lazy to develop for anything that's Apple or mobile, except for Nokia.)
Do you know what the difference is, exactly, between this and the free version? Does the free one let you play the whole game for a few days, or do you just get a hole or two…The site I usually get my iPhone app reviews from didn't mention either way…So now I'm bugging you!
yes.really it is a excellent review. may have to check this one out.
Thanks, great post. I wish more blog owners will take the time to properly write and review. Thanks again.
Seems like Tiger Woods has lost his touch at the moment. What a terrible score in the Florida Championship.
