Drive your ‘Crazy Tank’ shoot at enemy tanks and towers and collect ‘yummy’ power-ups. That’s what Crazy Tanks is all about.
A highly addictive Tank-shooter game for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The game features 30 different levels which will keep you entertained for quite a while.
The game has very appropriate sounds, which reminded me of the Tank game in ‘Wii Play’ infact it’s almost exactly the same just with much better graphics.
When you begin the game you’ll see a small intro with the developer’s site, then you advance straight to the game menu which is created reasonably well
anyway select your difficulty, stage, tank (new tanks are unlocked after completing a stage) and lets begin!
Now to the controls, you can only control the tank with the iPhone’s accelerometer which is intergrated to the game quite well. It is extremely easy to control your tank however I suggest you calibrate the sensor first before moving on, for the best gaming experience.
Now in a beautifully rendered cartoony-3d environment you must drive your tank look for other tanks/towers and destroy them. To fire all you have to do is tap the screen, so the controls are quite easy to master and I recommend playing Crazy Tanks for short-gaming sessions, as soon as you finish 1 level, the game auto-saves so you can continue where you left off. You can also collect power-ups along the way which can make the game quite interesting my favorite power-up is the ‘burst fire’ one which fires three tank shells that spread out across the map (it helps me a lot). AI is good they can be quite tough to beat at times.
Once again the music/sounds are quite appropriate giving you that military boot-camp feeling and the graphics are great.
On top of all of that the game only costs $0.99! I think it’s a bargain for such an addictive game. Excellent gameplay, great graphics and sound effects what more could you want for $0.99, don’t think twice about getting Crazy Tanks for your iPhone/iPod Touch.

Crazy tanks doesn’t seem THAT great. It seems a bit boring if you play for a while.

I’m fond of the 2D strategy battle games you can play with friends, so this app may be cool. Would have to check it out on youtube first, though.
