Banner Zest Pro – Mac Review

Enliven your website or blogs in seconds and at low cost with BannerZest. It’s the fastest and easiest way to add punch and movement to your still images online, and get the professional-looking slideshows. Integration with all major web site editors is a snap ! Social websites are supported too.

The User Interface on this application is just plain amazing. I have high expectations for Aquafadas, not just because their applications are amazing, but also since PulpMotion Advanced had an amazing user interface.  The interface is clean, modern, easy, drag-and-drop. That’s all there is to it. Bannerzest Pro also features a useful inspector, which lets you monitor and edit the details of your banner: background, colors, text shown, text format, and more, as well as the major things in your banner: publishing, adding media, and getting the HTML code for your site.

The features on Bannerzest Pro are okay. Customization is high, with good photo-editing tools for your banners, but themes are quite limited. I am sure this will change soon. One thing proved to me that the application had enough features: with the features, you can make your banner look like different media, not just a different presentation. My first attempt at Bannerzest looked like a video, while my next few looked at ads. This shows that Bannerzest can be used to make many different things on your website: presentations, menus, advertisements, and much more. Bannerzest opens up a realm of new opportunities for bloggers and small business website owners to spice up their website and attract more visitors.

Since this is the pro version, I have to discuss the additional features the pro version sports.  The pro version includes a built in media browser which shows you your iPhoto pictures in a elegant box, to make it easy to drag and drop family pictures.  Professionals will crave BannerZest Pro because it has integration with Aperture and Lightroom from Adobe.  You can even assign clickable links to your pictures.  For instance, when a picture of an iPhone shows up on your banner, the user can click on the iPhone to go to the about page on the Apple website.  This feature alone makes BannerZest Pro a great tool for creating unique ads.  Also you can assign custom javascript to handle how to clicks are executed.  You can also customize the loader which is basically the screen where the banner loads all the pictures, etc.  You of course get some extra themes, and are allowed for commercial use of the compositions.  Honestly, I feel that there are a handful of features that should be in the standard version, especially the ability to add hyperlinks.  So in that regard, the features of the pro version are great, but I just wish that they could add some of the features in the pro version to the standard one as well.

This application is really great for making any type of banners.  The themes are really beautiful, and the user interface is simple & powerful.  The customization is stunning, and you are given a ton of options to make your banner specifically how you want it. I would definitely recommend it to a blogger who wants to spice up their website.  My only wish is that the standard version would allow you to add links to your images like the pro version.
